The Iraqi Company for Financing Small and Medium Enterprises, represented by Mr. Director Commissioner Haitham Al-Qaisi, participated in  

On Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at the Green Technology Selector – GTS Forum, 

Which was held at the invitation of the Iraqi Private Banks Association, and in cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.

The forum discussed the GTS platform, which is a global platform that aims to connect green technology suppliers to the market, by registering and displaying products and technologies that meet the approved efficiency and performance requirements, thus qualifying them to benefit from green financing facilities and programmes.

The meeting also included introducing the mechanism for registering qualified suppliers and products, discussing the opportunities and challenges facing green technology suppliers in Iraq, and the importance of enhancing access to reliable solutions and technologies in the fields of renewable energy, energy efficiency, and clean technology.

The company’s participation comes within its direction towards developing sustainable financing tools, learning about green financing mechanisms, and exploring future cooperation opportunities with international financial institutions and entities supporting this sector, in a way that enhances the company’s ability to develop financing products dedicated to green projects and sustainable technologies, and support the growth of projects  in Iraq.
